Diana's Books and Coffee Cups

Happiness is a room full of books and a cup full of coffee

(Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children, #1)

This book was so different that any book I have read before. I was surprisingly very happy that I took a like to it right away when I picked it up. I just couldn't stop read it.I wont spoil anything (promise)....So it starts with the main character Jacob who in the story carries such a wonderful relationship with his grandfather. I think that might have been the reason why I loved this book so much. Reminds me of the relationship my boys have had with their grandfather. So I guess that would be how the book won me over. The author did such a great job and adding all these vintage pictures, I mean their instances were I would speed read just to get to the next picture. With Jacob going on this adventure to look in to his grandfather's past he unravels things that were told to him as child by grandpa that sometimes were very questionable. Somewhere in the middle the book did feel liked it dragged a little but once you pushed right through it picked right up. The only reason I gave it a 4 start and not 5 was because how it ended. Once again no spoils, but I question the ending so much regarding Jacobs father decision to not be stop him from going were he needs to go with these children......???????? Yes very questionable. But with that being said I enjoyed this book sooo much and I cant control my excitement to know that there's book 2 out already and the third I read is being written...YAY!!!!
